Memorial landscape in Frankfurt/ Main, Germany- International Competition

Landscape and installation concept as integral part for the new location of the European Central Bank Headquarters. The award winning design for a new tower by the Austrian Architects COOP Himmelb(l)au combines the new with the existing historic market hall, built in 1928 by Frankfurt modernist Martin Elsaesser. Our design proposal for a memorial park commemorates the misuse of the former market during German Nazism when Frankfurt Jewish Citizens were recorded and deported to Concentration Camps from the very site.

Our proposal was one of the 12 selected projects for further development out of 140 international competition entries.
